I’m not a big fan of the brand, and the models I like aren’t the most popular, but the history and philosophy of Rolex really impresses me and I have a lot of respect for the brand. If you asked me if I’d like to be a part of that history, I’d say yes without hesitation and I’d be honoured. My favourite model is the Rolex Cellini Gold with Leather Strap.

The Cellini model was introduced by Rolex in the 1960s and quickly became a symbol of elegance and refined style. The name “Cellini” was chosen in honor of the famous Italian artist and sculptor Benvenuto Cellini, whose works represent harmony and beauty, which perfectly reflects the philosophy of the collection. Unlike other Rolex models, the Cellini features a more classic and minimalist design, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate subtle elegance and style.

Rolex is more than just a brand—it’s a legacy, a philosophy, and an essential symbol of gentlemanly elegance. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or exploring high-quality watches for the first time, a Rolex speaks to the timeless values of sophistication and endurance.

Fact in the Spotlight

One of the most expensive Rolex watches ever sold is the Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman”. This particular model, owned by actor and racing driver Paul Newman, sold at auction for a record-breaking $17.8 million in 2017. The watch is a rare version of the Rolex Daytona with a unique “exotic” dial, and its connection to Newman, who was known for wearing it during his racing days, greatly increased its value.

Another notable mention is the Rolex 6263 “The Unicorn”, which is the only known example of a white gold Rolex Daytona. It was sold at auction for $5.9 million in 2018, making it one of the most expensive Rolex watches ever sold at the time.
