Summer Vacation Style
Hello everyone! I am at the seaside right now, and it made me think: many people keep planning a summer vacation but never actually take it. The truth is, there is never a “perfect” moment — the best time to go to the sea is now. I hope you allow yourself this break, a real pause to recharge and enjoy life.
Let me share what I usually pack for a beach vacation. Maybe it will help you prepare for yours.
Swimwear
Let’s start with swimwear. I always bring three different pairs of swim trunks. Just like a good winter coat in the colder months, swimwear is a gentleman’s signature on the beach. At least one pair should have a nice print, and the rest I choose based on colors that match the rest of my summer wardrobe. Small details like this make you feel more confident and stylish.
I used to always pack polo shirts, but for the second year in a row, they are disappearing from my summer suitcase. This time I only brought two T-shirts — a dark navy one and a white one. A white T-shirt looks especially good on tanned skin, making you look fresh and relaxed.
Linen Shirts
For me, a summer trip to the seaside is not complete without linen shirts. Linen is perfect for hot weather — it is breathable, elegant, and works for any occasion: a beach walk, lunch in a café, or an evening by the sea. This time, I packed three shirts: olive green, dark navy, and white. I only wear the white one once I have a bit of a tan because pure white can make the skin look pale.
I also have a habit: shirts that I no longer wear in everyday life get a second chance during summer holidays. They pair perfectly with swim trunks or light shorts and look effortless but stylish on the beach.

Flurian Shoes
My biggest discovery this season has been flurian shoes — light, comfortable slip-ons that come in beautiful colors. They go with everything: beach looks, casual outfits, and especially my favorite denim shorts that many of you love as well. During this trip, I even bought another pair in a small shop in Florence, and I think it’s my best summer purchase so far.
Books are a must for any vacation. I always take at least two. I have already finished one and I truly recommend it: Elche Safari – The House Where the Light Burns. It is a warm, kind story, perfect for reading on the beach with the sound of waves in the background.
Staying Active
And of course, staying active is part of my routine. I always bring simple equipment — a resistance band and a jump rope — enough for a good workout using only body weight. Morning exercises, swimming in the sea, a bit of movement every day — it is not only about staying fit but also about keeping your mood high and releasing stress.
But the main thing is this: the sea is a place to reset. Time feels different here. You notice the sun, the salty breeze, footprints on the sand, and the sound of waves at night. I wish each of you finds time for such a vacation, to restore your energy and truly enjoy every single moment — slowly, without rushing, without unnecessary thoughts.

Fact in the Spotlight
Here’s a simple and useful fact based on research:
Studies from the University of Michigan have shown that spending just 20 minutes in nature can significantly lower stress hormone levels. You do not need to hike or do anything intense — even sitting in a park or walking slowly near trees is enough to calm the mind and reduce cortisol in your body.
This is why short walks outside, even during a busy day, are so powerful for mental health.
