Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s time to change wardrobes and think about what to add. Let me share my opinion and tell you what I want to add to my wardrobe for spring.

Shoes

Let’s start with footwear, and then we’ll move on to other items.

Nothing has changed, and like before, this spring I plan to wear Tassel loafers, Penny loafers, and Belgian loafers. Sometimes I’ll want to be more relaxed, so for walks or gym sessions, I’ll add classic sneakers or popular Loro Piana loafers.

For warmer weather, I always buy short socks that aren’t visible under shoes. And of course, sometimes, just for fun, I’ll add colorful socks. I’ve discovered orange socks for myself. You’ve seen this in my Instagram several times, and I’ve received many positive comments. Thank you. But if you prefer long socks, most of mine are blue. It’s a more versatile color that’s easier to match with footwear and other items.

Trousers

Let’s move on to trousers. I can’t imagine my wardrobe without trousers with double pleats and a high rise. It’s one of the main components of my wardrobe for all seasons. Wool, cotton, and linen – I choose them depending on the season. Of course, wearing trousers all the time can get tiring, so I’ll have milk and blue jeans as alternatives. I don’t have chinos in my wardrobe, but they can be added too. Don’t forget about the belt. It’s needed for both jeans and chinos. Here’s a very important rule: the color scheme should match. If you have black shoes and a brown belt, it’s not very good. I wear a belt of the same color as the shoes. Even the color of my glasses frames matches tonally with the footwear and other accessories. The same goes for bags: black shoes – black bag.

Shirts

For a more formal look, I’ll take a white shirt with blue stripes and a spread collar, and I also like denim ones. No extra pockets and a classic cut. Since I live in a windy city, I definitely have a turtleneck to protect my neck. And when the weather allows going out without a jacket or coat, I wear a turtleneck together with a thick cardigan. You can also add a vest. And don’t forget about a long-sleeved polo made of good materials and without unnecessary logos. I also like to wear a zip-up sweater with a shirt.

Coats

There will be time to wear coats in the first part of spring. My favorite models – raglan and ulster – will come in handy. And then it’s time to take out single-breasted jackets made of thick wool and my military jacket. Safari jackets are also relevant.

If we’re talking about classic style, I wouldn’t choose black. After all, everything outside is blossoming and playing with new colors. Let’s carefully emphasize the colors of nature with our outfits and, of course, our smile!

I’m already looking forward to when our terraces open, and I’ll ride there on my new city bike to enjoy a little life with espresso and be inspired to write new posts for you in our newsletter.

Fact in the Spotlight

Americano is a coffee beverage that emerged during World War II. American soldiers couldn’t drink European coffee due to its strength, so they asked to dilute the drink with water.

Quote of the Week

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.
Helen Keller

That’s all for today. See you on Saturday next week!
