First of all, dear readers, we would like to congratulate you on the first day of spring and wish you bright and wonderful news this season. But remember, it is up to you how it unfolds.
Secondly, spring is the time to update your wardrobe — gradually. Hopefully, the season will transition smoothly, bringing us pleasant weather and the chance to wear new spring pieces while putting away gloves, hats, and scarves.
In this article, I would like to share what will be in my wardrobe this spring.
Trousers
When it comes to trousers, nothing changes: double pleats, a high waist, with a slight design update to the waistband. These trousers are versatile and easy to pair with almost anything — loafers, a coat, a blazer, or even a safari jacket. A military-style jacket, like the one I have, also works perfectly. Colors remain consistent. In early spring, I don’t shy away from wearing cream trousers, even though many consider them suitable only for warmer weather.
Footwear
Footwear — loafers. This remains unchanged as well. My collection has grown with more Belgian loafers, classic tassel loafers, and new penny loafers made of black ribbed leather.
In the second half of spring, no-show socks become an option depending on the weather. However, avoid wearing them with a coat or jacket as it may look slightly off.
Coats
During early spring, coats are still necessary, and I recommend wearing turtlenecks to keep your neck warm against the wind. As it gets warmer, short jackets will become essential. I enjoy wearing my braided cardigan, inspired by Charlie Hunnam’s character Raymond in The Gentlemen, with a turtleneck — it feels effortless and warm enough without a jacket.
This spring, I’d like to add short jackets in natural, deep pastel tones to my wardrobe — a reflection of nature’s bloom. Why wear dark, gloomy colors when you can embrace light, earthy hues and mix them tastefully?
Cream trousers, a navy blazer or coat, and dark brown suede tassel loafers make for a perfect combination — one of many great spring looks.
And don’t forget to add your good mood to your wardrobe and bloom with spring!
