Pitti Uomo 2025: Style, Culture, Inspiration — and My Personal Story
Here we go — another summer season of Pitti Uomo in Florence. I’ve been waiting for it, as always. But more than the event itself, I’m looking forward to seeing friends from all over the world, recharging with energy, and being inspired again.
This year’s trip will be especially long: before Pitti, I’m heading to Tuscany for a special gathering with our team. We’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of my dear friend Vassilis’ atelier — and from there, we’ll continue on to Florence for the main event.
This Pitti promises to be full of moments and layers, just like always. And I already know it will change me — again. It always does.
What Is Pitti Uomo and Why It’s Worth Following
Pitti Uomo is the world’s most important international menswear exhibition, held twice a year in Florence since 1972. It was created by the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana to support Italian menswear and help it reach global markets. From the very start, it was designed not as a fashion show, but as a professional platform — a space where designers, buyers, tailors, brands, and media meet and connect.
The event takes place in Fortezza da Basso, a historical fortress in the heart of Florence — a strong architectural symbol that reflects the timeless quality of Italian style. At Pitti, brands present their upcoming collections — from classic tailoring to innovative concepts, from established names to new independent makers. Over the years, brands like Brunello Cucinelli, Lardini, Caruso, PT, Herno, Slowear, Aspesi and many more have made important steps forward here.
But Pitti Uomo is more than fashion. It’s a cultural space where style, identity, and tradition come together. It’s a place to observe how taste evolves, how ideas are born, and how men express themselves through clothing. Following Pitti means seeing menswear not as trend-chasing, but as a reflection of how culture and character grow through time.
What I’ll Be Wearing at Pitti Uomo This Year
This season, I’m putting together three looks, each with its own mood and message.
1. Cream Suit — Classic, Light, Summer-Ready
The first look is a cream-colored suit made from lightweight fabric with soft structure and an easy, summery feel. It’s not about formality — it’s about light, movement, and modern Italian elegance. This is the kind of suit you want to wear without feeling like you’re “in a suit.” It’s clean, breathable, and sharp — with a focus on silhouette, shoulder line, and balance.
2. Monochrome Set: Sweater + Trousers
The second look is a monochrome outfit we made together with my team of tailors. It features high-waisted trousers with double pleats and side adjusters, paired with a sweater in the exact same fabric. You might recognize the sweater — many of you liked it before. This time I reimagined it as part of a full suit. It’s structured but soft. A modern, clean uniform — with elegance and ease.
3. Minimalism: Three Pieces Only
The third outfit is still in progress, but the concept is clear: just three things — a shirt, trousers, and shoes. That’s it. I want to show how much you can say with just a few well-chosen pieces. In menswear, more doesn’t mean better. It’s about how things fit, how they work together, and how you feel in them. The look will be simple — but intentional in every detail.
Why Pitti Uomo Means So Much to Me
Every time I come to Pitti, I feel like I’m entering a space full of meaning. It’s not just about clothes — it’s about community, culture, and style with soul. I get to reconnect with friends, share ideas, laugh, sip espresso, talk about fabrics and fit — and really just be present with people who love this world as much as I do.
I always leave Pitti changed. Tired, yes — but refreshed and inspired. It’s a place that challenges me and helps me grow — as a man, and as a professional. It reminds me why I do what I do.
Want to Follow Pitti Uomo? Here’s Where to Look
If you’re into men’s style, tailoring, thoughtful clothing, and modern elegance, I recommend following what’s happening at Pitti Uomo:
– First of all — on my Instagram and Elety account as well
– Also, look up 10 style voices or creators you trust – people who attend Pitti every year and share real insight
– Big magazines like Esquire, GQ, The Rake, and Vogue Hommes always cover the event too.
Final Note: Style as Personal Growth
If you want to develop your taste, discover new ideas, or simply see how men around the world express themselves through style — Pitti Uomo is worth your attention.
Not just for the fashion. But for the people. The culture. The meaning behind the clothes.
Wish us luck — and see you next Saturday.
Fact in the Spotlight
Originally, buttons on suit jacket sleeves had a functional purpose — they could actually be unbuttoned. This allowed military officers and doctors to roll up their sleeves without taking off the jacket — for example, to wash their hands or avoid getting dirty. These were called “surgeon’s cuffs”, and today they remain a subtle sign of quality tailoring and craftsmanship.
Quote of the Week
Style is when you’re not trying to impress — but you’re still remembered.

That’s all for today. See you on Saturday next week!
