Discovering Ateliers with Deep Values
We’ve been brainstorming new sections, and one I’d like to add is introducing brands I personally want to talk about without any advertising requests. These are ateliers, brands that carry deep values, where not only good products but also philosophy and values align with mine.
My First Semi Bespoke Suit Experience
One of the first I want to talk about is an atelier located in Poznań, Poland Krupa i Rzeszutko , and its head tailor, Karol. I want to split this article into two parts: in the first, I’ll tell my introduction story and share my thoughts, and in the second, Karol will answer our questions, which I’ve already prepared for him.
The Semi Bespoke Suit Journey
In November, we went to Poznań to take measurements for the suit and finally met in person. At that moment, the guys thought I was a bore because in November I just refused sweets for a month and watched them eat traditional croissants and Belarusian candies I brought them. Stepping into the atelier, I immediately felt good. In my opinion, it’s one of the best ateliers in Poland. The small details, care for the client, coffee, positive atmosphere, and warmth inside the atelier resonated with me, and there I felt everything important not only in a well-tailored suit but also in attitude and care. They made a grey suit for me, which I was very pleased with and wore it not only once but also after the event. I picked up the suit right in Florence before the event.
Karol: A Passionate Tailor
Karol is one of those who are in their place and love what they do. You feel it immediately, which helps you in the communication process. Afterward, we went to Pitti Uomo together and had a great time with a big group laughing, running for a jog, and discussing lots of different topics.
And when you ask me who inspires me, I’m inspired by people who are passionate about what they do.
The Next Steps
In the next part, we’ll ask Karol questions, and he’ll answer them for us.
Fact in the Spotlight
The term “bespoke” in tailoring comes from the English phrase “be spoken,” which can be translated as “previously agreed upon.”

I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.
