After seeing various situations at the gym and on the courts, I decided it’s time for us to talk about some rules when it comes to sports. Let’s start from the beginning, when you’ve just bought a membership and don’t know where to start.
Packing Your Essentials
Packing your things: You should have a backpack or gym bag; a supermarket bag won’t do. Besides your stuff, make sure to take a towel, slippers, and a cosmetics bag. I’ll tell you later why this is necessary.
Dressing with Harmony
And now, let me tell you the main rules that can ruin your looks. Most often, what I notice is when you have one outfit, but each item is from a different brand. For example, I love Nike and exclusively buy Nike items for sports. Find your brand and only buy things there. If you have a shirt from one brand, shorts from another, and sneakers from yet another, it disrupts the harmony of your outfit.
Sock Selection Tips
Socks: If you want long socks, then I’d do the same and choose all from one brand. And yes, finally! You can wear white socks but only at the gym. No black classic socks. I always choose short socks that aren’t visible under shoes and don’t create extra clutter. If your outfit isn’t from sports brands, it’s a different format, but that’s for another time because there are many nuances there too.
Attire Comfort and Style
I wouldn’t recommend working out in tight pants; they’re uncomfortable, and if you sweat, it’s a terrible feeling during the workout. Maybe I’m not that confident a guy, but I don’t really like sleeveless shirts, and sometimes I feel like they don’t look very good. Sometimes caps look nice, and in some outfits, I like it, but you have to be careful with it.
Playing with Color
I don’t play much with color at the gym. I have black shorts and a black shirt, and bright sneakers that I really like and go well together. Also, in gym outfits, I try to remove unnecessary prints and elements. The brand logo is enough. I also have blue, and I mix it with a gray shirt.
Post-Workout Hygiene
Why do you need a cosmetics bag and towel! I don’t understand men who don’t immediately take a shower after training, change clothes, and go about their business. It’s a disaster! I go to the gym to feel that lightness after a workout and a shower. Even in one of the popular magazines, it was recognized that the feeling after a workout and a shower is one of the favorites among gentlemen. Why deprive yourself of this? And sometimes, after a workout, they manage not to take a shower, put on perfume, and leave. Guys, you can’t do that!
And of course, don’t forget to wash your sports clothes more often; sometimes men forget to do this, and it’s not very comfortable to exercise next to them.
Post-Workout Nutrition Tip
And finally, don’t rush to eat something bad right after the workout; eat a banana or nuts; it will help you shape up faster. And don’t forget to drink water during your workout.
I’m not a trainer, but you often ask me for advice, and these are the points that I follow, and they help me look good at the gym, before and after.
Fact in the Spotlight
A glass of water, drunk on an empty stomach, helps to start the body, as well as cleanse the mucus accumulated during the night. By starting your digestive system in advance, you can count on maximum benefits from breakfast. To achieve this, it is recommended to drink a glass of water 40-45 minutes before meals.
Quote of the Week
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

That’s all for today. See you on Saturday next week!
