Pitti Uomo: How It Was

Ohhh. Mamma mia! As always, it was magnificent! I couldn’t start with any other words, sorry.

As we discuss with my friends, it’s that feeling when you’re exhausted, but full of energy at the end of this wonderful event. Meeting old friends, getting to know new brands, making new friends, and much more.

Let me tell you a bit about my trip to PittiUomo.

What is Pitti Uomo?

To remind you once again, what is Pitti Uomo:

Pitti Uomo is a prestigious international men’s fashion exhibition held twice a year in Florence, Italy. This event brings together designers, brands, buyers, and fashion enthusiasts from around the world, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in men’s wardrobe. Pitti Uomo is not just an exhibition, but a place for networking, idea exchange, and inspiration, where fashion shows, presentations, and parties create a unique atmosphere of creativity and style.

Arrival and Preparation for Pitti Uomo Summer 2024

I arrived two days before the event started. I was supposed to arrive one day before, but since the weather in Liguria was cloudy and not warm, I was invited to dinner in a beautiful place with wonderful company. I gladly accepted and was right — my Pitti Uomo started early.

Remember, all the clothes I wore were from my brand. Pants, jacket, safari — all of this we made ourselves. I was still finishing everything in Florence. Some were drinking wine, while others were doing hand stitches on the jacket and safari with a needle. A wonderful experience.

While writing this text, I decided to create another article where I will detail what I wore each day, and here I will tell you what I did and where I went.

Day One Highlights: Networking and Festivities

The first day started with working on the jacket, just like the previous night ended. Exercise — I am very glad I bought a jump rope, a great investment. If you ask what I recommend taking on a trip for fitness, the jump rope will be on that list. Usually, we go to Fortezza da Basso earlier, but this Pitti Uomo was an exception, and we always left home at 11:30-12:30. In the mornings, as soon as I woke up, there was always exercise, then working on the jacket to get everything done, creating content, and preparation. Naturally, before this, we had an espresso, and it was always at Gigli café.

On the first day, after the main event, there was, as usual, a wonderful PlazaUomo event at the beautiful Palazzo Gattai, organized by my very good friend and a person who inspires me, Christopher. As always, everything was beautiful, top-notch, with lots of communication with my good friends. We ended this day again at Gigli café. Oh, how everyone danced there and what an incredible atmosphere it was that evening! How wonderful it was that we decided to just drop by — everyone who was there remembered that evening with warmth and a smile.

Day Two Highlights: Fashion Shoots and Exclusive Events

The second day started the same way, but there were new shoots with brands and my personal ones. In the evening, we went to the WmBrown event at Villa San Michele hotel, where there were also many of my good friends and a magnificent atmosphere. Before this, I was invited to a closed event of a famous shirt brand. On the second day, I wore the finished jacket I talked about and showed on my Instagram. We managed to sew it, and ohhh, what a success it was! I started writing more about it in one of our articles, and I will soon share the result here and tell you what I went through. Believe me, it wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

Day Three Highlights: Exhibitions and Social Gatherings

The third day was also very busy. We could only attend the exhibition for an hour because I had three shoots that day and a wonderful evening event by Alexander Kraft, where he presented his brand, his signature “Craftoni” Negroni in honor of his beloved dogs, and also his vintage cars. But what an atmosphere always reigns there, you can’t imagine! My favorite Dean Martin and his “Arrivederci Roma,” cigars, sunset, people, Negroni, and more. Mamma mia!

Afterward, you realize that these three days flew by quickly. You didn’t manage to do everything, but you did a lot of new things, which makes you very happy, and you are already looking forward to the next time. Posting at 3 a.m., getting up at 7-8 a.m. to get everything done, and so on for three days straight. You’re tired, but how much inspiration comes during these days!

Thank you to everyone who was there, who shared these wonderful days, and gave so many great moments. It was unforgettable!

See you in January!
