Introduction to the Trip

Last year, we began developing our project Elety, and our first article was about the upcoming trip to Pitti Uomo. This year, we are also starting with a preview before our journey. This time, it will be longer because, after our visit to Florence, we will head to Milan for Fashion Week, where we will also receive invitations to presentations and have the chance to meet with old friends.

Main Goals of the Trip

The primary goal of this trip is to meet new manufacturers to finally launch the ability to order our trousers online, with delivery to anywhere in the world. If you have any contacts with manufacturers or are a representative of one, we would be grateful if you could share them with us via email.

Additionally, we aim to deepen our knowledge of men’s fashion, exploring key details for the upcoming season, which will be integrated into the process of creating a unique wardrobe for you.

What is Pitti Uomo?

Pitti Uomo is the largest event in the world of men’s fashion, taking place twice a year—in January and June—in Florence. The event showcases new collections from both leading brands and emerging designers, focusing on men’s clothing and accessories. Its main objectives include setting future trends, providing a platform for networking, and inspiring fashion industry professionals.

Founded in 1972, Pitti Uomo has grown into a vital event for those in the men’s fashion industry. It is known for its one-of-a-kind atmosphere, where participants and guests transform the streets of Florence into an embodiment of classic, refined style, offering inspiration to the entire fashion world.

Who Should Attend Pitti Uomo?

Pitti Uomo is ideal for buyers, designers, journalists, stylists, and bloggers. It offers professionals the chance to view cutting-edge collections and forge valuable connections. For style enthusiasts, it’s an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of high-quality craftsmanship, aesthetics, and the traditions of men’s fashion.

My Looks for Pitti Uomo 107

I won’t say anything too special, but due to certain circumstances, I haven’t been fully prepared this time. Hopefully, we will manage to finish the coat in time, the shoes are already on their way, and the trousers are ready. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not very comfortable wearing a jacket with a coat, and I tend to wear them separately. For me, the winter festival is always more about coats than suits and jackets.

This can be accentuated with a beautiful scarf or other accessories. Also, socks are now essential because, while people usually wear invisible socks in summer, it doesn’t look right to pair them with a coat in winter. So, if you see a coat with bare ankles, don’t do it.

Keep an eye on our social media as we will do our best to actively share and report everything happening during our trip.

Main purposes of visiting Pitti Uomo 107

Fact in the Spotlight

Here is an interesting fact about Pitti Uomo: The event is not only known for featuring established brands, but also acts as a platform for many emerging designers. It’s a place where significant fashion “premieres” often occur. For example, in 2019, the iconic Italian brand Gucci showcased its first-ever men’s collection at Pitti Uomo, marking a significant moment since they had not previously participated in such exhibitions. This event continues to be a vital launchpad for fresh talent in the fashion world.
