Today, please welcome Richard Sucker.
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about what you do?
I’m Richy — a classic menswear enthusiast, photographer, husband, and dad of two. I live in the heart of Hamburg, Germany, and I’ve found my passion in capturing the good things in life. Over the past nine years, I’ve explored my personal style, the world of craftsmanship, and the gentleman’s lifestyle.
Back in the day, I was the kid who came to school wearing a sports coat. Today, I’ve turned that passion into a business, and people now come to me for advice.
How did your profession become part of your life?
It all started when I met my wife. Back in 2015, she was already a fashion influencer, and during our dates, I often found myself taking photos of her outfits. One day, she bought her first camera — and that’s when I discovered my love for photography. Over time, she encouraged me to start my own Instagram account, and I thought it would be a great way to explore my passion for classic style. Today, I’ve combined both worlds — photography and menswear — on my profile and in my work with clients.
Where do you find inspiration?
Inspiration is everywhere. Sometimes it’s music — images start forming in my head the moment I hear a melody. Other times, it’s a movie, a magazine, people on the street, or, of course, social media. I believe inspiration comes naturally when you explore the world with open eyes and an open mind.

What is your professional recommendation?
When it comes to photography, most people think expensive gear will take their photos to the next level — but that’s not true. It’s all about you. You have to go out, capture moments, and try new things without pressure. Be present, feel the moment, and try to capture it. That’s what truly helps you grow as a photographer.
What is a useful habit that can help a man?
Organize your next day before going to bed. Write down a to-do list with everything you need to get done — no matter how small or unimportant some tasks may seem. Doing this gives you more control over your day and helps you start with focus and clarity.
At the same time, make sure to plan a moment of silence for yourself. It’s often during those quiet pauses that the best ideas and solutions come to mind.

Final question – Who is a gentleman?
A person who respects themselves and their body, and treats the people around them with the same respect. And all of that with an open mind and no prejudice.

Fact in the Spotlight
In 17th-century Paris, hot chocolate wasn’t a sweet treat — it was a medicine. Sold in pharmacies and priced higher than coffee or wine, it was prescribed by doctors “to strengthen the spirit and the heart.” Later, as literary salons and cafés became the heart of Parisian life, chocolate turned into the drink of thinkers and aesthetes. People sipped it slowly from porcelain cups, discussing politics, poetry, and new ideas. That’s how a simple cocoa bean became part of Paris’s intellectual culture.
That’s all for today. See you on Saturday next week!
Yours sincerely, Anton and Eugene
