I sat down at my laptop and thought about what to write to you, then realized that the last three clients were asking specifically about what sneakers to add to their wardrobe, ones that would easily pair with basic items and be very versatile.

First off, I want to clarify, this isn’t an advertisement, and no one paid us for this. It’s just to give you a good alternative to your loafers and other classic shoes, or just another option besides your second pair of sneakers.

Versatile Footwear Choices for Different Outfits

I’d like to talk about sneakers that you can wear with chinos, jeans, or even high-waisted trousers with pleats. Some people wear sneakers with suits, but that’s up to you and what you’re comfortable with. Personally, I wouldn’t wear sneakers with a suit, unless it’s an unpaired blazer, very relaxed, with jeans or cream-colored trousers.

The first model I’d like to add isn’t exactly classic footwear, but it’s not sneakers either. They’re called loafers, but because they don’t have the same sole as classic shoes, I can’t call them that. Many associate them with Loro Piana loafers, and immediately understand which model I’m talking about. I really like them, and I can wear them with chinos, trousers, and jeans. By the way, you can wear them with a suit and a blazer too. But again, consider how formal your blazer is. I wouldn’t wear them with a strict cut. As for color choice: Dark brown, navy blue, or beige. I wouldn’t go for cream-colored if you’re wearing cream trousers. If you find olive-colored ones, they’d look great. Some brands make them from that material.

Quality Sneakers for Every Season

The second pair of sneakers I’d consider is from the brand Velasca. They have good quality. I like the neat inserts that don’t draw too much attention but make a nice accent. I have a pair in my wardrobe and I’ve been wearing them for seasons. Comfortable and very satisfied. I won’t attach links, I’ll repeat, this isn’t advertising, just recommendations.

Timeless Classic Sneakers - Soft and Versatile

Now let’s head to the mass market, and the first model I’d like to add are the classic beige New Balance 547s. Very soft, comfortable, and widely accepted shoes. You can easily pair them with basics in my wardrobe.

A Classic Sneakers Choice

Before New Balance, I had Nike Cortezes two or three times. I really liked those models, just as comfortable and convenient as New Balance. Easy to combine and match. I liked pairing them with high-waisted trousers and pleats. We all know the association with the movie “Forrest Gump,” where the main character wore them. It’s a good movie, I recommend watching it.

European Elegance In Sneaker Culture

And finally, let’s talk about Adidas Stan Smiths. I won’t say they’re the most comfortable shoes, but I like the European style when men wear such shoes with chinos, a button-down shirt, and a good frame. Add a woven cardigan if it’s cold, and you’ll have a good look.

Shopping Tips: The Quality Of The Sneakers Matters

What I pay attention to when buying shoes: Naturally, quality. Shoes should be made of genuine leather. I don’t like it when shoes are bright white, so I often look towards vintage collections when it comes to Nike and Adidas in the mass market. I love warm colors and prefer the sole and leather of sneakers to be in a creamy color rather than pure white.

I’m sure there are plenty more models to add. I’ll tell you about shoes from my personal wardrobe that I liked and wore with pleasure. If you have your wishes and comments, write to me on Instagram, and we’ll discuss.

Fact in the Spotlight

  • The popular Nike Cortez model was originally made by a company called Onitsuka Tiger. Phil Knight was a sales representative for Onitsuka Tiger and was involved in developing this model. When Phil decided to create his own brand, he took with him the ideas and designs for future sneakers.

  • Nike owns Converse, which was purchased for $305 million in 2003.

  • Initially, the company was called Blue Ribbon Sports, and it wasn’t until 1971 that the name changed to Nike.

  • The brand slogan “Just Do It” comes from the last words of criminal Gary Gilmore. He said these words just before his execution.
